Ganderbal, Dec 30 (KNO): Authorities in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are fully prepared to deal with the challenge of road clearance after the snowfall.
District Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal, Tatheer Manzoor, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they are well prepared to ensure hassle-free snow clearance.
“Proper mechanism is in place to clear snow from roads in a hassle-free manner,” Tatheer said, adding that as compared to last year, the number of zones for snow clearance has been doubled from 7 to 28 to increase efficiency.
These 28 zones will cover approximately 600 to 620 kilometres of road, the R&B Engineer said, adding that joint control rooms are being set up for people in case of emergencies during the snowfall—(KNO)
